CARTE BLANCHE – ‘from cardboard to ceramics’
Coffee and Tea collection for SERAX
A tribute to the spontaneity of first ideas; the raw magic of quick, imperfect mock-ups.
In the very first stage of design, it is common to use cardboard to quickly create models. These mock-ups often carry a kind of intuitive spontaneity and a certain speed.
“I wanted to capture this naiive spontaneous energy by translating the cardboard forms one-to-one in the final material: ceramic.”
Bold design.
For unconventional brands.
Recognisable and unexpected at the same time.
Strong & clear lines.

About Annebet.
Annebet Philips graduates cum laude as an MSc Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology in 2008.
She sets up her design studio in Amsterdam in 2013 and mixes: customised projects, freelance design and brand collaborations.
In every project she combines both her creative and technical skills.
“Annebet’s designs let you look at the familiar with a new, unfamiliar perspective.
Able to twist meaning and interpret common things in uncommon ways, Annebet designs products that have something recognisable and surprising at the same time.
Add to that her love for bold shapes, unexpected elements, clear lines, and firm hand drawn strokes, and there you’ll have it: designs with an optimistic approach, a tad of humor and an almost cartoon-like signature. Designs that put the extra in the ordinary.”
