About.

Annebet Philips is a perspective shifter, turning the common into the uncommon through bold product design with a distinctive visual language.

After graduating cum laude with an MSc in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology in 2008, she established her Amsterdam-based design studio in 2013.

At the heart of her work is a fascination with the spontaneity of the first gesture. Hand-drawn lines of a sketch, an intuitive model, bold outlines and expressive brushstrokes are preserved and translated into carefully crafted, often industrially produced objects.

Playing with the tension between 2D and 3D, Annebet reinterprets archetypal shapes, creating designs that feel both familiar and unexpected. Balancing childlike spontaneity with technical precision, her work invites us to see the ordinary from a different perspective.

Working across furniture, objects and sculptural design, she develops collections for international brands alongside independent pieces and commissioned projects.
